The Insurance Brokers’ Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) has declared its support for the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations’ (CSIO) upcoming electronic document delivery solution.

The so-called eDelivery solution, slated for a February 2018 release, will allow brokers to securely send consumers their personal and commercial policy documents electronically. CSIO has been developing the technology in collaboration with brokers and carriers across the country.

“Consumers are continuously demanding a higher level of digital integration in their lives, and that is no different when it comes to insurance,” said IBAS CEO Derek Lothian. “This platform provides brokers with a simple, secure, and economical tool to respond to that trend, and offer their customers a superior quality of service. It’s a win-win.”

A release has confirmed that once it has been launched, the eDelivery solution will be made available to all IBAS members at no additional charge.

CSIO’s eDelivery system works without the use of proprietary software and allows policy documents to be emailed directly to consumers, complete with the necessary co-branding of brokerage and carrier logos.

“We welcome this endorsement from IBAS and look forward to working with them to promote the benefits of this solution,” commented CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola. “It’s a positive step in creating improved digital experiences for consumers and in helping brokers better serve their clients in the digital age.”
