AXA XL Insurance has appointed Stephen Nguyen and Shaun Higgerson to the distribution team in Australia. Nguyen is the new head of distribution, while Higgerson serves as client and distribution leader.
Meanwhile, Higgerson has transitioned from an accident and health underwriting role, which will complement Nguyen’s experience.
“Stephen has a wealth of experience in both the Australia and Asia markets,” said Catherine Carlyon, country manager for Australia. “Along with Shaun’s local expertise and underwriting background, these appointments strengthen our team and will help deepen our relationships and approach with brokers and clients.”
Sharing Carlyon’s sentiments, Jamie Chambers, country manager for Hong Kong, added: “Stephen enhanced and elevated our client and distribution practice in the Hong Kong and the Asia region - he will be a great addition to the Australia team and the broader market.”
The team will continue to work closely with AXA XL’s branded distribution capabilities in Brooklyn, particularly with head Tim Fairbrother and relationship manager Jessica Jenkins.
