Safety National has announced a series of promotions within its executive and senior management teams, effective April 1.
Nick Kriegel, previously senior vice president of operations, general counsel, and secretary, has joined the executive management team as executive vice president, chief innovation officer, general counsel, and secretary. In this new role, Kriegel will spearhead innovation initiatives and provide executive management oversight to multiple departments, including account services, business optimization transformation, IT, insurance compliance, legal, and loss portfolio transfer.
Curt Reno, formerly senior vice president of underwriting, now assumes the position of executive vice president and chief underwriting officer – insurance underwriting. Reno will provide senior leadership to all insurance underwriting units in his new role.
Rob Leitner, previously senior vice president of business development, has been promoted to executive vice president of business development. In his new role, Leitner will oversee risk services and business development departments.
Angela Schaefer, previously vice president and chief human resources officer, has been appointed as corporate senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Schaefer will continue to lead the human resources department.
Katie Flynn, previously vice president and controller, now holds the position of corporate senior vice president, chief accounting officer, and assistant treasurer. Flynn, in his new role, will be providing senior leadership to the finance and accounting department.
In the claims department, Patrick Hiles and Todd McMillan have been promoted to corporate senior vice president of workers’ compensation claims and corporate senior vice president of liability claims, respectively. Hiles and McMillan will provide senior leadership to their respective units.
