Specialist global insurer Hiscox will be joined by Steve Parry in July as group claims director.
Currently global head of technical claims at AIG, Parry will be based in London and report to Hiscox group chief operations and technology officer Stéphane Flaquet. He will be in charge of driving Hiscox’s group-wide claims strategy and leading a global team of claims professionals.
“Claims is the most tangible part of insurance for individuals and businesses,” Parry, whose credentials also include years spent at ACE/Chubb, said in a release. “It’s where they find out whether the policy they bought delivers quickly and efficiently on its promise.
“Hiscox has a well-earned reputation for looking after its customers, and I look forward to building on its claims heritage through technical thought leadership, technology, and data while continuing to deliver outstanding service.”
Meanwhile, Flaquet looks forward to welcoming the key hire.
“As our business continues to grow, so too does the need to strengthen our technical expertise to continue to provide brilliant service to our customers in our specialised fields,” he commented.
“Steve’s all-round experience across big-ticket and retail in both personal and commercial lines will be instrumental in providing clear strategic direction to our award-winning claims function across the globe.”
