Tony Clark (pictured), the CEO of National Transport Insurance (NTI), has been appointed a member of the board of the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA).
In a Press release, it was noted that the move is an extension of NTI’s longstanding history of working with HVIA to create a “safe and unified industry” able to support the growth of businesses of all sizes. Clark has been chair of the HVIA Executive Club since its launch in 2018.
Commenting on his appointment, Clark said he feels privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to the organisation in any way possible and that he looks forward to sharing NTI’s, and his own, insights to support the delivery of HVIA’s key strategies. He outlined these strategies as – advocating for industry, sharing a unified voice, promoting investment into R&D and establishing industry codes of practice.
“At NTI, we engage directly with industry through supporting every state and territory transport association across the country, and contributing to various industry causes such as the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners and Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds,” he said. “Our people value these relationships and opportunities to listen and learn from industry. It’s my role to take this insight and make a real difference.”
