The launch coincides with the introduction of a new Pre-Match Warm Up Top featuring a QR code built into the Allianz logo — a move the company says is a first in Australian football merchandising.
The digital initiative and apparel release are timed with the CommBank Matildas’ match against Korea Republic at Allianz Stadium, part of the national team’s build-up to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026.
The Fan Hub provides ongoing updates, special promotions, and football-related content.
It also serves as the entry point for a promotional draw offering two major prizes. Each includes Category A tickets to a CommBank Matildas or Subway Socceroos home match, a $1,000 travel allowance, and a signed jersey.
The newly launched Warm Up Top is available for purchase via Football Australia’s official store and select retailers. The jersey’s scannable logo gives fans direct access to the Fan Hub, integrating merchandise with digital engagement.
Supporters who attended last Friday’s match were invited to interact with the platform in real time.
Fans who participated in an on-site cheering contest – aimed at exceeding 125 decibels – could win instant rewards. Additionally, three fans and their guests were selected for corporate box upgrades.
Allianz Australia’s chief general manager for consumer, Shez Ford, said the rollout builds on the company’s strategic partnerships in sport.
“The creation of the Allianz Fan Hub and the Pre-Match Warm Up Top is a natural extension of the [Allianz Stadium and Football Australia] partnerships, creating a unique opportunity for Allianz to continue authentically engaging with the football community,” she said.
The insurer’s national-level sponsorship was formalised in mid-2024, aligning with Football Australia’s goals around inclusion, community engagement, and growing the sport. The Fan Hub and branded jersey reflect the partnership’s next phase, focusing on interactive experiences.
Football Australia CEO James Johnson acknowledged the collaboration’s broader goals.
“It has been a massive team effort to bring Allianz Fan Hub, and the Pre-Match Warm Up Tops to life with Allianz. These new offerings further cement their commitment to inclusivity, community, and unity in football, which are key values for Football Australia. We are looking forward to continuing to work closely and collaboratively with Allianz by providing unique and exclusive experiences for all football fans,” he said.
The QR-coded Warm Up Top is now available in stores for $90. Fans can also follow Allianz Australia on social media for updates on further content and promotions tied to the Fan Hub.
