Gallagher Bassett (GB) has ranked first in the list of Top Intern Programs for 2018 by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE), an industry body representing organisations that recruit and develop Australian graduates.
AAGE’s Top Intern Programs list was designed to recognise organisations that provide the most positive experience for their interns, as determined by interns themselves.
This year, 12 interns joined GB as part of its six-week program, aimed to equip young people with the necessary skills and experience to become successful insurance professionals.
“GB has now made AAGE’s Top Intern Programs list for three consecutive years, but being placed as number one is a testament to the work GB’s learning and development team have put into refining our programme to ensure it supports and provides valuable learning opportunities for all of our interns,” said John McNamara, GB’s managing director of Australia. “It’s great that we can offer great careers and attract talent into the insurance industry.”
The winners for the Top Interns Program were chosen based on a survey of more than 900 undergraduates who took part in their employer's intern program sometime in 2017/18.
