The global broking powerhouse Gallagher has announced its acquisition of Melbourne-based JLS Insurance Consulting (JLS). In a press release, the broker revealed that going forward, the acquired business will use the Gallagher brand to offer its clients access to a broad range of services and specialisms.

Founded in 2004 by Jodi Sharman, JLS comprises seven professionals who have developed long-term relationships with a variety of well-regarded large Australian businesses. Its team has a combined experience of many decades and a proven track record of success across several industries. The team will now join its Gallagher colleagues at the Gallagher branch in East Melbourne.
Gallagher noted that the acquisition of JLS is in keeping with its ongoing strategy of expansion and marks its fifth acquisition in the past six months.

Jodi and the team have built an impressive portfolio over the past few decades and the merging of our businesses will allow us to learn from each other and use our combined skills and experience to grow in Victoria.”
