Insurance broker and risk adviser Aon will host its inaugural Maritime Risk Summit next month.
The event will be held in the Vines Resort in Perth from April 10-11, and will bring together risk and insurance leaders from the maritime industry, to discuss the inherent challenges in “Navigating Risk in a Volatile World.”
Sessions will cover a range of highly topical issues, including the use, regulation, risk and insurance of drones in the maritime, energy and oil, and gas sectors, blockchain, P&I loss prevention, charterer’s liability, cyber and seafarers legislation, and regulatory reform and compliance.
“In a world where traditional risks collide with new technology, how can we build resilience for risks we are yet to recognise?” said Lindsay Metcalf, national marine practice group leader at Aon. “The maritime industry is no exception to the fast-paced transformation of the risk landscape. This forum will bring together the latest thinking and innovation in risk and how it applies to the maritime industry.”
Sponsors and speakers will include Clyde & Co, NTI, AXA XL, Sedgwick, Britannia P&I, The MECO Group, and HDI Global.
