ATC Insurance Solutions is expanding the construction and plant underwriting expertise in the agency’s new Sydney and Brisbane offices with the appointments of three new team members.
Steven Duong has been appointed ATC’s NSW manager construction and plant while Shannon Fullen and Kimberley Biggs join the agency’s Brisbane-based underwriting team in the plant and machinery and construction and engineering portfolios.
Duong has 15 years’ experience in construction and engineering portfolios for a range of major insurers and was most recently the NSW and Queensland manager for Lumley Insurance’s engineering underwriting division. Prior to that role, he was employed as a senior underwriter for
CGU Insurance’s construction and engineering division and as an engineering specialist for
Vero Insurance.
Prior to joining ATC as an underwriter for the agency’s plant and machinery portfolio, Shannon held a senior underwriting role within the engineering/plant/construction division of one of Australia’s largest insurers. He is also a qualified electrician and comes to ATC with extensive hands-on experience in the construction, energy and mining sectors in Australia and Europe.
Biggs has seven years’ experience within the construction portfolio for a Lloyd’s of London agency. She joins the team as an underwriter for ATC’s construction and plant portfolios. She is well known within the construction broker sector and has a strong understanding of Lloyd’s binding authorities and procedures.
ATC CEO Chris Anderson said: “We are delighted to welcome Steven, Shannon and Kimberley to the ATC team. All three have significant expertise and experience within the construction and engineering and plant and machinery insurance segments and their appointments add significant depth and capability to our underwriting capacity.”
