Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA) has announced that Tim White will join the organisation as chief financial officer (CFO) starting on Oct. 8.
White (pictured) transitions to RAA from his role as group chief financial officer for Land Services SA and Land Services WA. His past positions include general manager finance at Sky City Adelaide and director in Deloitte’s commercial advisory group.
White brings a combination of international and local experience in managing finance and commercial teams within regulated sectors such as insurance, banking, entertainment, and land registry.
“Tim is widely recognised as a dynamic, values-led and inclusive team leader – making him a perfect fit for RAA,” RAA CEO Nick Reade said. “Tim’s experience and skill set across finance, operational improvement, and corporate and strategy development will be valuable as RAA continues to grow, innovate, and improve our member offerings and services.”
Reade also emphasised RAA’s growth phase, with over 800,000 members.
“With more than 800,000 members and growing every day, it’s an exciting time to be joining RAA,” he said. “Tim’s breadth of experience across a diverse range of industries will be invaluable as RAA continues to expand its member offerings in exciting growth areas like travel and home and energy.”
RAA also recently signed a long-term lease for a new technical centre, scheduled to open in the first half of 2026. This facility, located at 599 Port Rd, will replace the current Mile End services.
The new centre will provide various services, including automotive maintenance, a child safety centre, driving school, travel and distribution sections, and solar and battery services. It will feature a modern workshop, member engagement areas, a retail space, and a café, accommodating over 400 employees.
Post the mid-2026 move from Mile End, RAA will continue its operations from three sites:
“Last year, we moved a couple of hundred staff into RAA Place as we had well and truly outgrown Mile End, and late in April, we signed a lease for 150 Grenfell St,” Reade said. “We’ve now signed a long-term lease for the RAA Technical Centre, which will provide our workforce with the tools they need to best serve our 820,000 members for years to come.”
