Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has tapped a former RSA Insurance Group leader as its new group general counsel.
In this role, Derek Walsh, former group general counsel, company secretary, and global broker relationship director at RSA Insurance Group, will be responsible for JLT’s legal and company secretarial teams, and will also part of the group executive committee.
Prior to his work at RSA, Walsh was general counsel and company secretary and part of the senior management team that grew and eventually sold the reinsurance and risk intermediary business Benfield to AON.
