Club Marine is a major provider of boat insurance in Australia and a subsidiary of Allianz Australia Ltd. Having been in business for over 50 years, it offers a wide range of insurance products for various boats and pleasurecraft throughout the country.
According to Club Marine, its boat insurance products are designed by insurance professionals with real boating experience and have options to suit a variety of boats, boating lifestyles, and on-water activities. Its policies are backed by the global reach and resources of German giant Allianz.
Its runabout insurance policy also includes optional cover for waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing and aquaplaning, as well as cover for the boat during voluntary rescue activities. Products are also available for jet skis, cruiser boats, yachts, and trailer sailers. Optional covers for fishing and diving equipment, as well as cover for when the boat is in storage, are offered.
Club Marine has a 24/7 assistance service that provides important boating information such as on weather and sea conditions, as well as assistance in case of emergency during transport of the boat. In 2016, Club Marine launched the Club Marine App, a mobile application that allows policyholders to manage their insurance policies as well as access helpful and informative resources regarding boating.

Simon McLean, CEO
McLean was appointed in 2013, succeeding Greg Fisher who left due to health reasons. Prior to joining Club Marine, he spent 10 years working up the ranks at its parent firm, Allianz Australia. He is an avid boater with extensive experience in various sail and powered craft. Upon becoming CEO, McLean said that he would focus on strengthening existing relations with brokers, clients, and business partners.
Nora Watkins, COO
Watkins was assigned to the newly created position of chief operating officer in 2015, after spending four years with Allianz Australia, where she was most recently senior business manager within its business improvement team. According to Allianz, Watkins was instrumental in launching its teleclaims and online claims departments in 2014. Earlier in her career, she worked for global energy company Shell.

Club Marine is very active in the boating community, frequently supporting and participating in over 100 yacht clubs, fishing tournaments, boat shows, regattas, and volunteer marine groups.
The insurer has its own bimonthly publication, Club Marine Magazine, which has been in circulation for over 30 years.
