Allied World launches revised environmental package policy

Allied World, a provider of environmental casualty insurance, has announced the launch of a revised environmental package policy.

The revised policy offers a new, redesigned layout and more comprehensive coverage, the company said. The policy is designed for fixed-site facility and service industry clients, and provides traditional general liability, environmental liability and professional liability coverages.

New features include:

• Quotations and binders that highlight selected coverages in a menu-based format
• Dedicated insuring agreements now built into the policy
• Product withdrawal expense and business interruption costs available by endorsement

“We are committed to providing customized insurance solutions for our broker partners and customers,” said Marcel Ricciardelli, senior vice president of Allied World’s North America Environmental Division. “Our revised primary environmental package policy offers enhanced capabilities that will improve efficiencies and expand coverage offerings.”

Allied World is the latest insurer to expand its environmental coverage. In January, Zurich Resilience Solutions launched a climate-related offering for commercial clients, while Distinguished Programs and SiriusPoint partnered on an environmental offering.
