Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), an alliance of more than 100 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois, has announced the hiring of four new employees.
Clinton Mudd and Michael Thornton have been hired as sales development coordinators, while Susan Fitzgerald was hired as a processing specialist and Kate Murphy (pictured) joined the alliance as an administrative assistant.
As sales development coordinators, Mudd and Thornton will work with VIAA members to maximize profitability and growth within their own independent agencies. Prior to joining VIAA, Mudd served as a commercial lines producer at an insurance agency. He has more than 15 years of industry experience. Thornton previously owned his own agency and also has 15 years of industry experience. He has an extensive sales, management and development background.
Fitzgerald will process client and policy changes for the company’s carriers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in systems and data processing from Washington University School of Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
As an administrative assistant, Murphy will maintain office quality and standards and coordinate training events and schedules. Prior to joining VIAA, she worked in the bond department of an insurance company.
