Topa Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Tracy Tillinghast (pictured) as vice president and chief information officer.
Tillinghast joined the company in 2018 as director of IT product management, and earlier this year was promoted to assistant vice president of IT. During his tenure at Topa, he has been responsible for leading the successful implementation of a new policy administration system, switching the software delivery process to Agile, and developing an annual IT roadmap. This year, Tillinghast was instrumental in moving the company’s workforce to a remote model in less than a week in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
“Tracy has been a valuable leader during these unprecedented times,” said Michael Day, president and CEO of Topa Insurance Group. “He has ensured our workforce is operating effectively and has continued to improve our efficiency. I look forward to working with Tracy and watching him further our technology solutions.”
Tillinghast has more than 25 years of insurance technology experience. Prior to joining Topa, he served as an IT executive at the California State Automobile Association.
“I am excited to take the reins and drive Topa Insurance’s technology strategy,” Tillinghast said. “The Topa Insurance technology team has transformed over the past few years, and I am dedicated to continuing our progress.”
