Privately held global insurance organization HW Kaufman Group announced the appointment of Danny Kaufman (pictured above, left) and Jodie Kaufman Davis (pictured above, right) as co-presidents.

The new roles will divide leadership responsibilities across Kaufman’s extensive global portfolio. Alan Jay Kaufman will continue as chairman and chief executive officer.

“Today we are firmly and emphatically signaling to the marketplace, along with our clients, insurance company partners and 2,000+ associates, that Kaufman is committed to our independence under Danny and Jodie’s ongoing operational leadership,” Alan Kaufman said in a statement.

“I am very proud of Danny and Jodie – the evolution of our company is a direct result of their strategic vision, their passion for this business and their shared desire to see Kaufman thrive under the next generation and beyond.”

Danny Kaufman, who remains president of Burns & Wilcox in the US, will now also oversee the Burns & Wilcox brokerage and Canadian divisions, with existing leadership reporting to him.

Jodie Kaufman Davis will take on the role of vice chair of Atain Insurance Companies, while maintaining oversight of RB Jones. She will also continue to manage Kaufman’s businesses outside of North America.

“Kaufman is today larger, stronger and more financially secure than at any point in our history,” Alan Kaufman said. “As our footprint and capabilities have expanded, the time is right to strengthen our executive leadership so that we can more fully optimize all Kaufman companies and unlock new opportunities worldwide.”

In a related development, earlier this year, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Midwest Division presented Jodie Kaufman Davis with its Trailblazer Award for philanthropic excellence and industry leadership at the 13th annual Blazing the Trail Benefit.

The award recognizes Kaufman Davis’s philanthropic leadership and her commitment to advancing inclusion initiatives within her company and the broader industry.
