Insurtech Worry+Peace (W+P) has rolled out its Choices platform, which features provider forms and lead forms as its two mutually exclusive use-cases.

Designed to enable brokers, insurers, and managing general agents to quickly and cost-effectively digitise proposal forms or any fact-find process, Choices leverages W+P’s form technology and is described as one of the “most strategic” releases of the insurtech so far.

“We are working through our strategy to build a genuinely new and original category play, and Choices is a key part of that process,” said W+P founder James York (pictured), who recently became co-chair of representative body Insurtech UK.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day but we really feel we’ve finished the range of capabilities we need to emphatically prove that what we’ve built is a truly capable and helpful platform for providers and buyers.”

Choices also forms part of W+P’s in-house lead generation programme, which will initially focus on small commercial or non-standard lines early next year. The goal is to allow any publisher or affinity group to rapidly monetise insurance leads without having to worry about regulation.

York went on to note: “This is really a huge jigsaw piece for our strategy because we can also, technically, send the data from these forms anywhere from day one – it defaults to our out-of-the-box tools, but I hope digital progressives spot the Easter Egg of what could be returned by providers who can receive these datasets.”

According to the W+P founder, Choices uses open source code JSON Schema as well as a custom-made rendering application.

“This is all about democratising rapid and open capability to aid healthy competition,” he added. “Anyone could make their own JSON form – they’re relatively cheap – and simply submit it to us to ‘plug in’ to our rendering engine and processes. So Choices seemed an apt name!”
