Berlin-based insurtech omni:us, a developer of AI-driven claims management services, has announced that its staffing numbers have increased by 41% in the past 12 months as it experienced high growth levels in 2019.
According to omni:us, staff numbers grew from 48 to 68 as the company expanded the engineering team, built out its distribution channel, and began to roll-out its platform.
Other highlights of the insurtech’s year include partnering with AI-powered fraud and risk solution provider FRISS to structure documents for insurance companies to help them combat fraud and being awarded €1.6 million by the European Commission for innovation, research and development.
“A lot of exciting things have happened this year, but most crucial for me was a powerful push towards our unique product,” said founder and chief executive officer Sofie Quidenus-Wahlforss (pictured). “Although this focus came with challenges for all departments, I could also see the serious effort from the whole team to make this transition happen. This kind of team spirit coupled with our latest achievements are why I am so passionate about our challenging vision.”
