Insurance technology provider Duck Creek Technologies, the parent firm of Duck Creek Technologies Europe (DCTE), has been recognised in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Non-life Insurance Platforms, Europe report for 2018.
Historically a North American enterprise, the Boston-headquartered company has accelerated its European expansion with last year’s launch of an office in London. This year it was identified as among the vendors that have experienced implementations in Europe, based on Gartner’s analysis of providers’ completeness of vision and ability to execute.
“To us, this independent recognition from Gartner is very pleasing,” commented DCTE managing director Bart Patrick. “Duck Creek has deployments in production across the globe, including multi-country installations covering writing business in multiple currencies at policy and risk level and settling claims in multiple currencies.”
The tech firm offers software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to the property & casualty insurance industry.
“We are very proud of this,” added Patrick, referring to the Gartner citation. “We are actively investing in growing our European resource base, working with our clients to ensure that they have appropriate resourcing and governance in their implementation projects to drive their success.
“We will continue to grow – we’ve closed two significant new European deals in the last six months and believe this is early evidence of a successful change in approach to sales in the territory, whereby we focus on professional software sales, away from our consultancy-based approach of the past.”
Aside from its new facility in the UK, Duck Creek also has centres in Spain where it hosts training of its workforce, customers, and partners.
Meanwhile a disclaimer by Gartner notes that the research and advisory firm does not endorse any vendor, product, or service depicted in its research publications.
