Dan Fiehn (pictured above) has rejoined Markerstudy Group as chief technology officer (CTO) after a three-and-a-half-year absence.
Reporting to chief operating officer Keith Barber, Fiehn will oversee the company’s technology strategy alongside Adam Miller, chief information officer, and Tara Walker, CTO of Markerstudy Distribution.
Fiehn, who has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously played a key role in developing Markerstudy’s IT division, MPowered, and led the integration of Co-op Insurance into the business. His return comes as the group looks to advance its technology capabilities.
Fiehn has been named a CIO Top 100 Leader three times and holds a BA (Hons) in Law with Financial Services. He is a Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS). His expertise spans technology, data, and digital transformation within the insurance sector.
Barber said Fiehn’s appointment strengthens the senior leadership team at a critical time.
“As we look forward to the next chapter in our growth journey, I am delighted to welcome Dan back. His appointment will further strengthen our senior leadership team and ensure we continue to be at the forefront of technology; enhancing operational efficiency and fostering strategic innovation,” Barber said.
“I’m relishing the opportunity to be returning at such an exciting point for the group. My focus will be working with Adam and Tara to create one homogenous, agile, and business-driven IT function that sets a new industry standard for exceptional customer experience,” Fiehn said.
A few weeks ago, the group also announced that Emma Rawlinson has been promoted to chief executive officer of Markerstudy Distribution.
Rawlinson reports directly to Kevin Spencer, chief executive officer of Markerstudy Group.
Meanwhile, Ian Donaldson and Craig Ball have returned to Ardonagh Group in roles focused on advancing digital and artificial intelligence capabilities across the organisation’s global platforms. They will also oversee commercial collaborations between Markerstudy and segments of Ardonagh.
