March 22 marks the launch of Aston Lark’s new online broker portal for the company’s BIBA-approved (British Insurance Brokers’ Association) specialist renovation insurance scheme.
Called “Renovation Plan,” the scheme serves both the wholesale and retail markets, offering three levels of coverage underwritten by Lloyd’s of London coverholder Axis Underwriting. The portal for the scheme is designed to allow brokers to process mid-term adjustments and bind cover or download documents immediately.
Available to all brokers with a TOBA (Terms of Business Agreement) in place, the portal will also enable users to communicate with Aston Lark’s Renovation Plan team which is headed by manager Brooke Crisp. Those without a live agency can apply for one via the Renovation Plan website.
“This is really exciting for our team and the brokers we work with,” commented Crisp. “We launched a pilot project in November with a selection of our broker panel which had some fantastic feedback.
“Launching it fully and providing all brokers with the opportunity to quote and buy online is a brilliant way to begin the year. This new system is just the start of what is to come.”
Meanwhile Aston Lark group chief executive Peter Blanc said delivering an efficient service backed by what he described as a market-leading scheme is at the core of how Renovation Plan works.
Blanc noted: “The launch of this fantastic broker portal enables the team to further enhance the experience for brokers. Being able to quote and bind fully online allows brokers to have greater flexibility with their clients.
“The Renovation Plan team has done a terrific job of delivering this system for the start of 2021, and we’re really looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring.”
