In a release, the insurer said £5,000 will go to TALK Surrey; £5,083 to Surrey Care Trust (SCT); and £4,917 to the Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT). They were chosen by employees of Allianz UK, which donates an annual total of £30,000 to local charities as part of the initiative.
“As a business, we aim to secure the future for our customers, employees, and for society,” said head of brand and social responsibility Carolyn Rich. “Guildford is home to our largest office in the UK, and we’re delighted to have found a way we can support different charities in our local community.
“Our panel of employees were very impressed with the amazing work carried out by TALK Surrey, Surrey Care Trust, and PACT, so we are delighted to be able to support all three.”
PACT’s services support prisoners’ families, prisoners, and people with convictions; SCT works to improve vulnerable individuals’ physical and mental health; and TALK Surrey helps people with the communication disorder aphasia. All three charities have expressed their gratitude for the grants.
