Loadsure bolsters executive team to support freight innovation

UK-based insurtech firm Loadsure has announced a series of senior appointments across its management team.

Carl Pearse (pictured above) has been named chief technology officer. In this role, he will lead the firm’s technology infrastructure strategy and oversee the development and distribution of freight insurance products. Pearse joins from Super Payments, where he also served as CTO.

Tara Farrer has been appointed chief of staff. She will be responsible for supporting Loadsure’s executive team, driving cross-functional alignment, and managing business process efficiency. Farrer was previously SVP of operations at APEXX Global.

Prathap Chandran joins as executive vice president of data. He will direct the firm’s data strategy and application, including the use of internal and external data assets to strengthen insurance operations and AI-driven pricing models. Chandran’s previous roles include enterprise engineering manager at Meta and head of technology AI at Liquidnet.

Jeremy Davis has taken on the role of EVP of strategy. He will lead Loadsure’s business planning and market development initiatives. Davis was most recently chief operating officer at Umbra Capital Partners and has experience founding and selling a fintech business.

Daisy Dong has been appointed EVP of product. She will lead the development and implementation of Loadsure’s freight protection product strategy. Dong’s prior roles include group head of product proposition and head of product and pricing (Europe) at bolttech.

David Goldberg joins as EVP of marketing. He will oversee Loadsure’s customer acquisition and brand strategy efforts. Goldberg has previously led marketing operations at Cover Whale and held senior roles at Next Insurance and AP Intego.

Kristy Neal has been named head of growth. She will focus on developing insurance distribution channels and new product opportunities. Neal’s prior positions include head of enterprise business at Cover Whale and vice president roles at Overhaul and Marsh.

Matthew Dybus joins as vice president of ocean marine. He will oversee underwriting for ocean marine insurance risks. Dybus was formerly a senior cargo underwriter at Liberty Mutual and a senior broker with Marsh.

Brian Hanuschak has been appointed VP of inland marine. In this position, he will manage risk for inland marine coverage. Hanuschak previously worked as an underwriter at AIG and held roles at Hanuschak Insurance Agency and Risk Placement Services.

Michael Kennedy has joined Loadsure as VP of partnerships. He will focus on building relationships with logistics providers, freighttech platforms, and other partners. Kennedy’s previous roles include founder of RFP Lab and Freighttech.net, and strategic sales manager at Trimble Maps. He also held a sales and operations leadership role at Echo Global Logistics.

Johnny McCord, founder and CEO of Loadsure, said the company remains focused on addressing underinsurance within the freight sector and that the newly appointed executives will help support innovation, scale, and service delivery.

Before this swathe of appointments, the London-based insurtech also launched Loadsure Europe in April 2024. The European expansion focuses on the Benelux countries, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. Leading the operations is director of Europe, Ben Brough.
