Aston Lark has today revealed its second acquisition of 2022, bringing Phoenix Healthcare (UK) onboard as the latest addition to its group. Phoenix Healthcare, which was established in 1996 in Oadby, Leicestershire, is a leading independent UK broker and adviser which provides holistic specialisation across all aspects of corporate healthcare provision.
Commenting on the deal, Paul Wright, founding director of Phoenix Healthcare, highlighted that both he and fellow founding director Lee Shorter have over 35 years’ experience in the industry, and were delighted to choose Aston Lark as the long-term partner for their business. He added that he and Shorter firmly believe Aston Lark will provide a great home for the firm’s staff and share their client-first approach to corporate healthcare broking.
Shorter added his voice to the media statement announcing the transaction and noted that becoming part of Aston Lark and having access to its resources and products would provide “great opportunity” for further supporting the broker’s clients.
Peter Blanc, Aston Lark group CEO, said: “When I first met Paul and Lee, it was clear that they share the same client service ethos as Aston Lark. We’re becoming a real powerhouse in private medical insurance, and I’m delighted to welcome Paul, Lee and their team to the Aston Lark family.”
The news follows Tuesday’s announcement that Aston Lark, which is due to soon become part of Howden, acquired the Hove-based broker Mainstay Insurance.
