Aston Lark Ireland has entered into an agreement to acquire Revoclife Limited, which trades under the name Gateway Insurance and Investments.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval.
Established more than 40 years ago in Athlone, County Westmeath, Gateway Insurance and Investments serves both commercial and personal customers, with a specialisation in the SME sector. The broker offers general insurance and other financial lines products.
“I am delighted to welcome Tom Fitzgerald and the Gateway team to Aston Lark,” said Aston Lark Ireland CEO Robert Kennedy. “It is another fantastic addition to our growing business in the Midlands, further enhancing our capability in the region.”
Kennedy added that the Gateway team’s client and people-first approach will continue to grow and benefit from being part of Aston Lark and its parent company, Howden. The CEO also hinted that Aston Lark was “keen to continue growing and acquiring like-minded brokers in Ireland,” with the goal of becoming Ireland’s leading independent insurance broker.
“This is a fantastic development for our clients,” commented Gateway Insurance and Investments managing director Tom Fitzgerald. “In addition to all our existing services that are principally based around a highly personable service provided through dedicated and knowledgeable account handlers, we now also have access to global markets, a wider product range, and an experienced, similarly focused network of colleagues.”
Fitzgerald gave assurances to both Gateway’s clients and staff that the company “took great care” in selecting its partnership with Aston Lark.
“This is a proud day for us at Gateway, and I would like to compliment the Aston Lark team for a smooth and honourable transition of the Gateway business to Aston Lark,” the managing director said.
