Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has recently announced the appointment of Nick Holding as the head of marine, UK.
In this role, Holding will be responsible for leading the growth of BHSI's marine insurance portfolio in the United Kingdom.
As per his LinkedIn, Holding brings a wealth of experience to his new position at BHSI, with a career spanning 35 years in the marine insurance sector. He has held leadership roles in underwriting teams at both Lloyds and company markets for a significant part of his career.
Based in London, Holding's appointment is seen as a strategic move by BHSI to strengthen its presence and capabilities in the marine insurance sector in the UK.
“I am pleased to welcome Nick to lead our team of excellent marine underwriters and our ongoing expansion in this market. He will oversee our underwriting of complex marine accounts as well as the superior service we provide to our customers and brokers,” BHSI UK country head Nick Major said.
In other recent developments, the specialty insurer has also announced enhancements to its multinational services and capabilities.
