Life insurance broker Reassured has announced the appointment of Philip Byrne (pictured) as chief risk and compliance officer. Byrne was described as having extensive experience in risk and compliance within the financial services sector. In his new role, he will report to CEO Mark Townsend and join the company’s senior leadership team.
Byrne previously served as head of compliance at Markerstudy Group and as director of risk and compliance at BGL Insurance. According to a news release, Byrne will focus on strengthening the firm’s governance framework and risk management strategies. He will also play a pivotal role in ensuring the company delivers positive customer outcomes as it continues investing in technology to enhance its products and digital capabilities across multiple channels.
Mark Townsend, CEO of Reassured, welcomed Byrne to the team, saying, “We are delighted to have Philip join the Reassured senior leadership team. His experience in the financial services market will be crucial to helping ensure our product offering, conduct, and risk management will be consistent with our strategy.
