Senior underwriter Mathew Prentice (pictured) has been promoted to cyber product lead at specialist engineering and technology insurer HSB.
An Aviva alumnus, Prentice came onboard HSB in 2014 as an underwriter. Now the Birmingham-based executive will be in charge of the development and implementation of the company’s underwriting strategy for its computer and cyber proposition.
Prentice reports to underwriting strategy manager Andy Bazley.
“We are delighted to appoint Mathew as our cyber/computer product lead,” said HSB underwriting director Stephen Morris. “In a rapidly changing and expanding market, computer and cyber insurance is an important strategic part of our offering.
“Mat’s specialist knowledge and front-line underwriting experience will ensure that we continue to have a strong focus on these specialist products as part of our portfolio.”
Part of Munich Re, HSB also provides construction, equipment breakdown, and energy covers in the UK and Ireland.
