Arch Insurance has announced the appointment of Ezechiel Symenouh (pictured above) as a senior cyber underwriter, effective immediately.
Symenouh will be based in Paris and will focus on developing the company’s European cyber insurance portfolio, with a particular emphasis on France, Benelux, and the Nordic regions.
Symenouh joins Arch Insurance (EU) dac (AIEU), the division providing specialist property and casualty solutions across the European Union. He previously held roles at Tokio Marine HCC as a cyber underwriter and served as cyber risk practice leader at WTW France.
The AIEU cyber division provides both standalone and combined cyber & tech products on a primary and excess basis, serving industries such as manufacturing, retail, and financial institutions.
Matthew Brophy, chief underwriting officer at AIEU, said Symenouh’s expertise in European cyber risk and broker relationships aligns with the company’s objectives.
“Ezechiel’s appointment demonstrates Arch’s commitment to attracting leading industry talent. His deep understanding of European cyber risk, regional expertise and strength of broker relationships makes him a perfect fit for our expanding cyber team. He will play a central role in helping us achieve our growth ambitions and enhance our relevance to our brokers,” Brophy said.
The appointment of Symenouh follows Arch Insurance’s recent announcement of Rachida Laazaouzi as senior casualty underwriter in Paris. Laazaouzi joins AIEU with a mandate to grow the company’s casualty portfolio in France.
Her responsibilities include underwriting primary, umbrella, and excess liability coverages across industrial, manufacturing, and rail sectors.

Casualty is a core line of business for Arch globally and, at AIEU, we’re committed to strengthening our EU-wide presence in the sector through developing local market-leading teams and solutions.,” Brophy said.
