US-headquartered cyber specialty insurer Corvus Insurance, which also has offices in the UK and Germany, has expanded its Frankfurt-based roster.
Without disclosing the number of new employees, Corvus said it hired underwriters with extensive experience providing localised cyber solutions within the European Union. Aside from cyber underwriters, a local head of cybersecurity services was also added to the team.
“We are proud to welcome new, strong talent to join our growing team, and leverage their extensive industry expertise, having come from trusted firms like Marsh, Victor, Chubb, and AIG to work with our broker partners in Central Europe,” said Corvus international head Oliver Delvos.
“We look forward to continuing to forge relationships with more of the region’s top innovative brokerages that follow our vision for a more data-driven approach to risk assessment and underwriting than the European market has seen to date.”
According to Corvus, it is the first cyber insurer from the US to bring its offering to the German and Austrian markets. The managing general agent’s European expansion last year came to life through a multi-year partnership with Travelers.
The MGA added: “Amid heightened geographic demand, Corvus plans to continue building out its Central Europe operations with more strategic hires in roles spanning claims, finance, and human resources.”
