Crawford & Company has announced the appointment of Paul Lofkin (pictured above) as president of its UK and Ireland operations, effective December 1, 2024.
Lofkin, who has been with the company since 2013, will report to Andrew Bart, CEO of international operations, and will oversee the strategic direction and operational performance of the business in the region.
Lofkin has over 22 years of experience in the insurance sector. During his tenure at Crawford, he was instrumental in creating the UK’s first fully dedicated rural adjusting team, which has since become one of the company’s flagship services.
In 2023, Lofkin was promoted to the UK leadership team as head of platforms, where he managed claims solutions, repair services, and drove innovation within the industry.
He is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, and holds a distinction MBA and a first-class degree in business management.
Bart stated that Lofkin’s leadership skills and experience in the claims management industry make him well-suited to lead the UK and Ireland operations.
“Paul inherits a strong business with committed people and I am confident that under his leadership Crawford in the UK will go from strength to strength,” he said.
Commenting on his new role, Lofkin said it was an honour to lead Crawford in the UK and Ireland. He expressed a commitment to working with the leadership team and employees to build on the company’s financial performance, employee-focused culture, and technological advancements.
“As client expectations and the insurance sector continue to evolve, there exists a need to respond with more speed, efficiency and quality than ever before. I believe Crawford is ideally placed to deliver the very best expertise, innovation and quality client service to continue the growth already seen in the UK,” Lofkin said.
As for other recent appointments, Crawford & Company hired Carl Tatman as client account director with a specific focus on the UK’s public sector and housing associations in September.
Tatman’s new role involves managing relationships with local authorities, housing associations, charities, and educational institutions throughout the UK. He is also tasked with identifying opportunities to broaden the range of services Crawford offers to these clients.
