Ecclesiastical Insurance is holding its annual Christmas charity campaign, wherein the company invites the insurance brokers it works with to nominate charity organisations for a chance to receive donations.
For this year, Ecclesiastical will be selecting 120 different charities, which will each receive a £1,000 donation. Ten winners will be announced each weekday, from December 07 to 22.
Nominations for charities are now open; participating brokers have until December 21 to name the charity of their choice. Winners will be drawn at random, but the more a charity is nominated, the more chance it has of being selected, Ecclesiastical said in a release.
“As a commercial company with a charitable purpose, giving back is at the heart of our business. Our annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign will help charities change lives for the better and we know that for many charities, £1,000 can make a real difference,” said Ecclesiastical Insurance group CEO Mark Hews. “We’re encouraging everyone to nominate a cause close to their hearts this Christmas to be in for a chance to win a festive financial boost.”
Last year, the Christmas charity campaign saw 800 brokers nominate good causes, which received a total of £120,000 in donations from Ecclesiastical.
In October, Ecclesiastical named 10 charities that each received a grant of £50,000 as part of the company’s Movement for Good awards.
