Managing general agent Bspoke Private Clients has strengthened its team with several key hires from Groves John Westrup (GJW) Private Clients, as part of its ongoing strategy to expand in the high-net-worth (HNW) insurance market.
Former GJW underwriting head Stuart Bromley has joined the MGA as high-net-worth director. Bringing over 16 years of underwriting experience, he will report to Bspoke Private Clients managing director Adrian Ewington.
Accompanying Bromley are his ex-colleagues Nick Gildea and Isaac Moore, who will concentrate on writing HNW business, as well as Matt Dewing, who will take charge of broker distribution.
Bromley’s extensive career includes positions at NIG Commercial, Plum Underwriting, MS Amlin, and Munich Re. In January 2020, he became head of underwriting at GJW Private Clients, which operates under Munich Re Specialty Insurance UK.
In addition to these appointments, the team is also adding Ben Humphrey, who previously served as technical lead at Home & Legacy.
Ewington commented: “Bringing Stuart and his former colleagues on board continues our growth strategy, enabling us to significantly enhance our presence in the high-net-worth market. Their expertise will be instrumental in delivering superior service quality for our broker partners, and it’s fantastic to have them join us in our ambitious journey.”
Bromley echoed this sentiment, noting the chance to contribute to the expansion: “Joining Bspoke Private Clients is a great opportunity to bring our expertise to a forward-thinking team that’s committed to making a significant impact in the high-net-worth sector.
“The philosophy and ambition of Bspoke is extremely exciting, and I look forward to working with the team and helping the business to achieve its long-term goals.”
