London-headquartered Chartered insurance broker Miller is foraying into the world of private clients.
Signifying the market entry is the company’s swoop for high net worth specialists Katie Small, Nick Gavin-Powell, and Michelle Suckling. Coming onboard in the second quarter following the completion of their respective contractual obligations, the trio will form Miller’s private clients team.
The new unit will be headed by Small, whose credentials include founding private clients insurance specialist Mercury West Associates, which was snapped up by RK Harrison in 2012. When the latter was acquired by Hyperion in 2015, Small led the combined RK Harrison private wealth and Hyperion private client, fine art and specie business.
“We are delighted that Katie, Nick, and Michelle will be joining Miller to drive our expansion in the high net worth sector, a key area of growth for Miller,” commented special risks co-head James Hands. “Our new offering will provide our clients with our usual best-in-class approach, providing reassurance that their most valuable assets are protected.”
Present in the Lloyd’s, London, and international markets, Miller employs over 650 people across its operations.
