LV= has set its sights on becoming “the best insurer for regional independent brokers,” after announcing that its broker arm has joined one of the leading panels for commercial brokers in the UK.
LV= Broker is now on the partner panel of UNA, the organisation which is owned by 13 large regional independent brokers. The idea behind the partnership is that it will help the UK insurance giant create innovative products for members of the alliance, while the two will work closely together to implement joint strategies that will be mutually beneficial “without compromising the independence of the individual brokers.”
“This is vital to us,” said Tim Ryan, UNA executive chairman. “Mutual benefit for our partners and broker members is a key aspect for UNA. What sets us apart is how we can act as a real alternative to networks and consolidators.”
UNA members currently place in excess of £350 million of premiums in the UK market, making it one of the key buying groups within the insurance industry. It offers exclusive policy wordings and covers to its members and Kevan Aubrey, head of commercial distribution at LV= Broker, is confident that the partnership can bring members even more benefits.
“We have ambitious goals to be the best insurer for regional independent brokers and this partnership is a significant step towards achieving that ambition,” he explained. “We look forward to being able to offer even more innovate products to our broker partners. We are very excited about the future together.”
