Hymans Robertson has announced the addition of two senior consultants to its general insurance (GI) team, Rohan Murdeshwar and Harsh Jaitak. According to a news release, the move supports the growth of the company’s insurance and financial services (IFS) practice. The announcement follows the recent appointment of Krish Kistnassamy as head of general insurance.

Murdeshwar joins Hymans Robertson as a senior consultant, bringing over a decade of experience in the GI sector. His career includes roles in energy, utilities, and automotive industries, with a focus on business transformation and operational efficiency. Previously, Murdeshwar worked at PWC and WTW, where he advised clients on pricing, predictive analytics, enterprise risk management, and long-term forecasting.

Jaitak assumes the role of consultant, bringing more than five years of expertise in risk management, reinsurance, and strategy. Jaitak previously held positions at KPMG, Kuwait Reinsurance Company, and WTW.

“I am delighted to welcome Rohan and Harsh to our GI team. They are accomplished industry professionals who will deepen our bench strength and complement the wealth of experience across the IFS team for the benefit of our GI clients,” Kistnassamy said. “Their coming on board marks one more step in the GI team’s growth.”

The GI team at Hymans Robertson provides services including internal model validation, independent reserve reviews, commercial lines pricing, and enhancing risk management frameworks, the news release noted. The team also supports clients in managing cyber and casualty accumulations, meeting prudential climate risk requirements, and planning for solvent exits or resolutions.

Hymans Robertson, established in 1921, is an independent financial services consultancy in the UK. It has 1,000 employees across four offices in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. The firm works with FTSE-listed companies, insurance firms, banks, and pension providers.
