In the latest industry moves, CelsiusPro Group, Pro Global and Beazley have all announced key hires and strategic expansions.
CelsiusPro Group has bolstered its climate resilience solutions (CRS) capabilities with the addition of a team of specialists in disaster risk finance (DRF). This team, which was previously part of the WTW climate and resilience hub, brings over two decades of experience to the table.
The new members will join Global Parametrics, which became part of CelsiusPro Group in September 2023. Based in London and Zurich, the team will be led by Kay Tuschen, who has headed CRS since October 2023.
“We created the Climate Resilience Solutions team with the objective to deliver cutting-edge parametric solutions to the benefit of climate-vulnerable communities in the Global South,” said Tuschen. “With this expansion of the team, we bring in brilliant people with an amazing track record in this challenging market.”
Jamie Pollard, the newly appointed DRF Lead, added: “We are delighted to make CelsiusPro Group our new home. The company’s distinct value proposition, which integrates technology-enabled parametric insurance structuring and risk capacity for climate resilience projects, resonates strongly with both our expertise and interest.”
Pro Global has appointed Roman Hannig (pictured left) as head of client engagement and Oliver Schippa (pictured centre) as head of product for its German operations.
Roman joins from Gen Re Corp, bringing expertise in managing complex employee disability claims, while Oliver comes from Proventum with extensive experience in technology, data analysis, and insurance product innovation. Both will work from Pro Global’s Cologne office.
Beazley has promoted Sydonie Williams (pictured right) to head of international cyber risks, effective immediately. Having joined Beazley in 2019, Williams has played a key role in the development of the company’s cyber catastrophe bond. Her promotion reflects her strong leadership and expertise in the cyber risks space.
Alessandro Lezzi, group head of cyber risks, expressed confidence in Williams’ abilities, stating: “Sydonie has been a central member of the cyber team and integral to our Full Spectrum Cyber offering. Her extensive experience across multiple geographies perfectly positions her to drive our strategy forward, expand our capabilities, and support our brokers and clients in navigating the complexities of cyber risk.”
