Compass Network member Perry Appleton has been snapped up by Ethos Broking.
The acquisition, financial details of which were not disclosed, means Ethos Broking now consists of 11 regional centres and 20 satellites, with the Rugby-based business serving as the group’s foothold in the Midlands.
Led by managing director Simon Leech, Perry Appleton specialises in professional indemnity, commercial combined, property owners, motor fleet, and high-risk liability. It controls in excess of £7 million in gross written premium.
As part of the deal, the company’s premises in Rugby will be retained, with all 14 staff members joining Ethos Broking.
“Becoming part of Ethos Broking will be of great benefit to our staff and clients,” said Leech. “It was the natural home for us as it will allow us to focus on building our presence in the local community while at the same time offering our customers all the advantages of being part of the Ethos family.”
Lifting the lid on the transaction, Ethos Broking MD Richard Tuplin stated: “The Midlands have been an area of focus for us for a while now and from the first meeting I had with Simon, it was clear that the Perry Appleton team share the same passion as we do for supporting customers.
“Perry Appleton will play an important part in our strategy as we continue to grow our regional powerhouses across the UK and expand our presence throughout the Midlands.”
