Gloucester-based specialist insurance provider
Ecclesiastical has launched an office risk scheme for Carers Trust, one of the UK’s leading carers charities, in cooperation with chartered broker Watson Laurie.
The program will provide Carers Trust’s 160 network partners with automatic cover according to the needs of each office, such as charity trustees’ indemnity and professional indemnity.
Carers Trust is composed of regulated and non-regulated services providing support to the seven million unpaid carers all over the UK. Each member is an independently managed charity with its own board of trustees.
Unpaid carers save the State around £132bn a year – close to the cost of a second NHS, according to the Treasury. Ecclesiastical has worked with Carer’s Trust and Watson Laurie for a long time, providing insurance solutions for its members.
Adrian Saunders, commercial director at Ecclesiastical, said, “This partnership is testament to our scheme’s capability and our ability to work hand in hand with brokers in developing a winning proposition. We are keen to hear from other brokers about any new innovative ideas in the schemes space so we can help bring them to market.”
