Davies has been certified as an agency with the Department of Education to offer “Flexi-Job Apprenticeships.”
Participants in the Flexi-Job Apprenticeships will have the opportunity to conduct short-term placements across different business sectors. Through the program, apprentices will gain valuable experience and skills in their chosen field. It is also hoped that the program will attract and benefit talent who have not been actively searching for a career in insurance.
As a registered agency, Davies is now one of just 30 that are certified to offer Flexi-Job Apprenticeships, a release said. The professional services and tech firm will be responsible for arranging placements with a host of employers and managing the ongoing relationship once an apprentice has been accepted.
“We are proud to be a part of this innovative approach to apprenticeships,” said Davies growth and client success director Carolyn Blunt. “By providing our apprentices with the flexibility to move around different companies and gain valuable experience in a variety of environments, we are giving them the best possible chance to develop their skills and build successful careers.”
Blunt added that Davies hopes that the new apprenticeship system can “help make a real difference in the insurance sector.”
Last week, Davies acquired Chicago-based MVP Advisory Group, a consulting business specialising in advisory and transformation projects for the property & casualty, life, and health insurance markets. MVP will join Davies’s global consulting division under the leadership of consulting and technology CEO Mark Grocott.
