Davies has unveiled a new senior operating structure for its consulting division. The move supports the company’s plans to expand its services under four specialized pillars: insurance, capital markets, asset and wealth management, and retail finance and corporate banking.
Paul Johnson (pictured left) has been promoted to chief operating officer, while Matt Parkinson (pictured right) assumes the newly created position of chief revenue officer. Both will report to Pino Vallejo, CEO of Davies’ consulting division, who was appointed in April 2024.
Johnson brings extensive experience from his 12-year tenure at Davies, where he led initiatives such as the Davies Academy and its apprenticeship programme.
Meanwhile, Parkinson, with over three decades of industry experience, has held leadership roles in global banks and financial institutions, focusing on solving complex challenges and driving growth in consultancies. He was previously co-head of Davies’ banking and markets team.
“Working with Paul and Matt in their respective new roles, we plan to ambitiously grow our offering across our four specialist pillars and reach into new geographical markets,” said Vallejo. “Their broad range of experience in client service, technology, operations, and organisational development will help us cement our growth strategy and deliver an excellent level of service for our clients in the insurance and financial services sector.”
Vallejo’s leadership has been described as pivotal for the global division, which has experienced diversification and a broadening of its offerings to insurance, financial services, public sector, and other highly regulated clients since his arrival.
Davies provides professional services and technology solutions to over 1,800 clients across 20+ countries, with a workforce of 8,500 employees.
