The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has introduced three engagement board member roles, to help better represent the voices of its members during discussions.
Each of the three new board members have been appointed to represent a different sector of the CII’s membership, a statement from the professional body noted.
Atholl Scott Financial Services director Debbie Mitchell was appointed to CII’s board to represent the financial planning sector. Freelance financial services consultant Pauline Azzopardi was appointed to the board to represent international CII members. And former Pro Global Holdings CEO Artur Niemczewski was appointed to the board to represent the London market and global speciality sector.
The CII also said that it would be appointing a fourth engagement board member in 2021.
“We are delighted to welcome our new engagement board members who will play a key role in ensuring the member voice is heard at board level,” said CII CEO Sian Fisher.
Fisher added that the new board members’ knowledge and experience “will be of great value to the CII.”
The CII board is responsible for leading the development of the strategic direction of the professional body.
