Global broking business Brokerslink has expanded its presence in Africa with the addition of two new brokers from Mauritania and the Ivory Coast. A news release highlighted that the latest members strengthen Brokerslink’s network, which now includes partners and affiliates in 41 African countries.

Rema Broking, a Mauritania-based firm, provides a range of personal and commercial insurance solutions, with expertise in health, professional liability, transportation, machinery, and construction risks. Established in 2006, it is among the country’s largest broking firms.

GGA Groupe, based in the Ivory Coast, joins Brokerslink as a specialist insurance broker and health expense manager. The firm focuses on health risk coverage for both nationals and expatriates across Africa. GGA Groupe serves individuals, SMEs, and multinationals and operates offices in five African countries, as well as Lebanon and Paris, France.

François Masson, African regional manager at Brokerslink, highlighted the continent’s diverse insurance landscape and the importance of increasing access to risk transfer solutions. “Africa is a continent of contrast and opportunity. This is reflected in the insurance landscape with a wide disparity in levels of insurance penetration and adoption,” said Masson.

“Brokerslink has a significant presence across the continent and is ideally placed to promote the economic benefits of risk transfer. These two new additions to our network enhance our ability to access and support yet more retail and specialist African insurance markets.”

Rema Broking CEO M'Paly Camara expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “I am delighted to be joining the Brokerslink global network, offering our local expertise in Mauritania to our new international colleagues.”

Ali Attié, CEO of GGA Groupe, welcomed the collaboration and its potential for growth. “Joining Brokerslink brings new and truly international opportunities to GGA,” said Attié. “We are also looking to bring our strength in this area to our new Brokerslink partners and affiliates who are looking for new and innovative health solutions across the region.”
