Arch Insurance International has introduced public and employers’ liability insurance to its digital quote and bind platform, Arch IQ, expanding coverage options for event organisers across the UK.
The new insurance products provide liability solutions for a variety of regional events, including conferences, exhibitions, fairs, fêtes, music festivals, and sports events.
The newly added policies are short-term, aligned with the insured event’s duration, and offer limits of indemnity up to £10 million, with minimum premiums beginning at £125. The move builds on Arch’s recent launch of specialised regional event cancellation cover through Arch IQ, which is available on both an indemnity and agreed-value basis.
The Arch IQ platform, overseen by Timothy Rolph (pictured above, left), contingency underwriter, enables brokers to obtain quotes in approximately 60 seconds, with the option to instantly bind the risk. The addition of liability coverage is intended to streamline the insurance process for brokers seeking comprehensive event insurance options for their clients.
Chris Rackliffe (pictured above, right), head of contingency and accident & health, stated that the platform’s goal is to offer specialised contingency solutions to brokers in an efficient manner, combining technical underwriting expertise with responsive service.
“The addition of our liability coverage to the Arch IQ platform, alongside our event cancellation solution, provides brokers with a quick and simple way of securing the most comprehensive coverage for their clients’ events,” Rackliffe said.
Last month, the specialist insurer announced a leadership transition, appointing Nicolas Papadopoulo as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
Effective immediately, Papadopoulo will also join the company’s board of directors. He succeeds Marc Grandisson, who has stepped down after serving as CEO since 2018 and being with the company for over two decades.
Papadopoulo, who has been with Arch since 2001, most recently held the positions of president and chief underwriting officer (CUO). He brings extensive experience in leadership roles across both Arch’s insurance and reinsurance operations.
