“AFL has an established international presence among corporates, and it is fantastic to welcome Mike on board as we position ourselves for further growth,” said AFL chair Toby Esser. “He is a proven and driven leader, and culturally will fit in well at AFL.”
Esser added that the corporate retail team at the independent Lloyd’s broker works closely with its partners in the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) – the largest non-owned network of independent brokers.
“AFL and its WBN partners boast a compelling offering for corporate clients, where the highest levels of service are required, together with proactive and dedicated management of international client and broker relationships,” commented Almond. “I’m excited to have joined AFL’s growing team, and I look forward to supporting them on many levels in this truly global sector.”
Meanwhile chief executive Bob Finch said bringing people “of the highest quality” across the company and the corporate space is clearly important to AFL.
