History of CNA
CNA was founded in 1897 to provide insurance solutions that allow people to manage their risks better. It has since evolved its products and services to address its customers’ needs. Leadership at CNA
Douglas M. Worman – President & CEO
Doug Worman assumed the role of president and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation on January 1, 2025. This follows his tenure as executive vice-president and global head of underwriting. He joined the company in 2017.
Before his time at CNA, Worman served as CEO of Endurance U.S. Insurance and held executive positions at Alterra Capital Holdings and Sharebridge Underwriting Group. He began his insurance career at AIG, eventually becoming president and CEO of AIG Excess Casualty Group.
Worman holds a degree from Pennsylvania State University. He is actively involved in industry organizations, including serving on the board of the Maurice Greenberg School of Risk Management.
