About Be Wiser Insurance
Be Wiser Insurance is an independent insurance broker which offers a broad variety of car insurance policies, which are tailored to suit the specific needs of each individual client.
Approved and regulated by the FCA, Be Wiser was founded in 2007 and has since reached and supported over 2.6 million customers. The brokerage operates out of three locations throughout the UK – Andover, Hampshire and Swindon.
With its panel of over 30 insurer partners, Be Wiser works with some of the leading insurance companies in the UK providing a variety of personal lines products, as well as a wide range of commercial insurance covers for small to medium size businesses. The business prides itself on striving to get the best insurance policy at the best price for each individual client.
The History of Be Wiser Insurance
Be Wiser has undergone substantial growth since its inception, receiving CII accreditation and, more recently, joining BIBA in 2019. In a company profile released by the brokerage in 2018, former chairman, Mark Bower-Dyke noted that it has seen several insurance companies fail or stop trading which has left the marketplace in a cycle of decline and disruption.
He said: “As a business we have taken this opportunity to strengthen our offering and governance, while this has been at a significant financial cost this has ensured we are now in a position to offer the latest technology through our new Wiser Tech platform.”
This platform uses organic intelligence combined with artificial intelligence platforms to enhance the business’s control of pricing, marketing and product development. Be Wiser recently posted positive results which signified that the planned cost savings instigated by the company are on track and registering growth in premium income, policy count and brokerage earnings.
Speaking on these results, Bower-Dyke said: “We have made significant advances in technology to future-proof Be Wiser in an industry going through profound technological change. Our position will enable us to continue delivering our ambitious growth plans in a sustainable way.”
