A worthy winner – that’s how British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) chairman Lord Hunt of Wirral described BIBA’s 2019 Young Broker of the Year Ryan Legge.
The commercial account executive, who took the apprenticeship route at Hayes Parsons Insurance Brokers not too long ago, was praised for his “commitment and professionalism, not only to his day job where he has an impressive proven track record but also his desire to promote the insurance industry via the Hayes Parsons apprenticeship scheme.”
Legge has an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and is also a two-time winner of the Bristol Achiever of The Year Award from the Insurance Institute of Bristol. At Hayes Parsons, his remit includes overseeing the Chartered insurance broker’s apprenticeship programme.
“Ryan is a worthy winner and we all congratulate him on his award,” stated the BIBA chair, who will be succeeded by former Insurance Minister Jonathan Evans in 2020. “He is clearly set to have a stellar career in broking, and I know we shall all enjoy watching his progression within the industry in the years ahead.”
Meanwhile Lord Hunt also congratulated highly commended finalists Bethan Perris of Vista Insurance and Ashleigh Overton of Jelf.
Recognising the performance of younger brokers, BIBA’s Young Broker of the Year Award encourages commitment to the future professionalism of insurance broking.
