Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor, announced the appointment of Lindsay Roos (pictured) as chief executive officer (CEO) of Bowring Marsh Bermuda. Roos succeeds Christopher Reeves, who will continue in his role as chairman, according to a news release.

Roos brings nearly 20 years of experience within the insurance industry. She has been with Marsh for her entire career. Prior to her new role, she served as chief operating officer and casualty and healthcare leader for Bowring Marsh Bermuda. She began her career as a casualty risk analyst and relocated to Bermuda in 2013 to join the excess casualty insurance department of Bowring Marsh.

In a statement, Adam Russell, head of global wholesale at Marsh, expressed confidence in Roos’ leadership abilities, highlighting her extensive industry experience and strong relationships with insurers. “Lindsay brings a wealth of experience, a proven track record in the industry, and terrific insurer relationships to the role. I am confident that her leadership will drive continued success in this critical market for our clients,” he said.

Roos expressed her enthusiasm about her new role, emphasizing her commitment to strengthening the firm’s position in Bermuda. “I look forward to leading the team here in Bermuda and ensuring that we effectively engage the Bermuda markets and provide clients with optimal outcomes that best support their insurance and risk management objectives,” she said.

Reeves’ continued leadership as chairman is expected to ensure a smooth transition as Roos steps into her new responsibilities.

Marsh also recently expanded its presence in Italy by acquiring Fontana Rava-Toscano & Partners, a Milan-based insurance brokerage. This acquisition is part of Marsh’s growth strategy in Italy, aiming to enhance its service offerings for mid-sized businesses with international operations and boost its client base in the region.
